    Pros +

    • Breakfast was sumptuous and quality was high. Breathtaking view of the famous Amanohashidate stretch. Onsen was big and pleasant and offers recreation areas for kids. nice addition of pingpong tables. They even have a lounge that serves free drinks including beer. The rooms are big and big beds too.very comfy for a cold winter.
    • The onsen was definitely the highlight of our stay - so so beautiful. They also had a complimentary snack and alcohol bar which was a delightful surprise. There's a shuttle bus that goes to Miyagi station, but the last bus finishes early (around 1700) so its best to plan your trip in advance.
    • Location is beautiful. The place is overlooking the bay. The staff is helpful and makes effort to compensate and make the customer comfortable.A special mention to the enthusiasm and dynamism of the senior citizen (must be almost 70y/o) collecting the finished trays and cleaning the tables at the breakfast cafeteria.

    Cons -

    • Sound proofing for the door is a big low. Could hear these excited kids run up and down the corridor.
    • The rooms were a bit dated, still comfortable, but it is like stepping back in time. The rest of the facilities (lobby, onsen) are modern in comparison.
    • There are not enough eating or dinning options. It is more cafeteria style. Rooms show their age...Although there were some improvement since last year this will not be enough for us to give it a third try.

The buffet was excellent. We appreciated that the allergens were identified for each meal. The ice cream machine is a winner with the kids, The beer machine is a winner for adults ! The pool was great especially during the summer heat. The staff is very friendly. The value is very good as breakfast and diner are included. The room is a little bit outdated but very clean and spacious with a beautiful view from either side of the building. A very nice stay in an area less crowded by tourists.

The dining room could be more appealing. The pool closes at 5:30pm.

The rooms were big and the onsen was beautiful. The hotel provide free flow of drinks, hard liquor, wine & snacks every night during our stay. The breakfast was superb with variety of food. Must try. The hotel was located beside the sea. Nice view.

Nothing much to complain except they don't provide smoking rooms since I am a heavy smoker.

    The onset and free bar.

Outside of the hotel (esp. cat park) was quite dark at night. The room was a bit outdated.

We have 7 adults with 1 infant and we had a great time with Amano Hashidate view 8F.Food was great and room was cozy too.

We had stopped in this place a couple years ago but the new owners have freshened up the place.(Although the carpet in the room probably still needed a change)Amazing buffet! + pre drinks + after snack; all inclusive!!Amazing View!Craft activities.

Expected more available hours to use the pool.Maybe a gym and more games for the family to play. That would be sufficient for us to come back regularly as a weekend off to relax.

    Nice location.

The pool closed at 5:30pm. I’m an adult, why isn’t the pool open for night swimming?! We couldn’t use the stairs and always had to wait on the elevator.

It’s kinda out of the way for everything

I can literally hear everything from hallway, next room. Just so noisy and there are only 3 slow escalators for the whole building.

The view from our room was amazing

It is a bit far from center. you need to have a car if you are hungry after 8pm.

Quite good value for hotels with 2 meals.

The food quality is acceptable, but not especially tasty.Too many "Tour travellers", not a quiet hotelI was asked to setup beds for myself, very weird experience

we liked the location, and the onsen was nice, as well as the food.

the hotel was hot I mean we were sweating, we had to ask for a fan and open the window as far as it would go so it would let in some cool air. we could not control the thermostat at all. Japan hotels need a better system for spring, as it wasn't cold at all outside.

The drink sessions are free every night. There were many drink options available. But there were too many people as it was a local school holiday period.

Too many people. Facilities like ping pong (table-tennis), which is available but a fee is charged. I would expect that should be free to patrons. The buffet breakfast or dinner was okay but wasn't great.

    9MercedesPosted on: 4-25-2025

I was surprised how much I liked that hotel! After reading all the bad reviews on Google, before our stay, I was a little scared. But it turned out to be great! The rooms were so spacious and the ocean view beautiful. The onsen area was great and huge. They had an outside onsen as well. And that pool was pretty quite with little ppl. They even had an European Sauna, which was 94°C.The hotel provided a drink buffet (hard alc and softdrinks) in the evening. Plus a few snacks. We didn't even know that it was included. And the area is just too beautiful..

The shuttle service is too few and the last shuttle from town too early. If there would have been more shuttle, my rating would have probably been 10!The food prices (breakfast around ¥3000 and dinner buffet around ¥8000) were steap, so we didn't eat in the hotel. There was carpet in our room (I guess in every room), which was dirty around the table and seating area (permanent stains). I don't care about things like this, but other ppl probably could..

    9RaddoPosted on: 4-21-2025

We didn't have the breakfast there; we went out exploring the area and found a nice place to have brunch.

Nothing! we like the hotel so much we booked in for a second night.

    7RyanPosted on: 4-13-2025

Views are beautiful , onsen is really nice outdoor & Indoor

Rooms are very dated , beds not very comfy

The property is Isolated and management exploit this. We waited 40 mins for a taxi. Check in is apparently up to 11pm but if you arrive after 8.30pm the restaurant is closed and the gift shop sells absolutely nothing to eat. Not even cup noodles. We ate a bag of chips and a can of tourist sardines for dinner. We were starving. Worst and meanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Be warned! Don't go there.

    5YUNYUNPosted on: 4-7-2025

The dinner was mediocre and expensive—the worst meal we had in Japan. I don’t mind the high price, but the quality was just too poor!
